North Carolina gives first look at new Jordan Brand uniforms for 2017

Michael Jordan's influence at his alma mater North Carolina will extend to the gridiron this season, as the Tar Heels revealed their new Jordan Brand uniforms for the 2017 season.

UNC will wear three new jerseys designed by Nike's Jordan Brand, which are "designed to maximize the athlete's range of motion and increase breathability," according to Nike's press release on Saturday.

The Tar Heels will wear three different combinations in 2017, including their traditional white and Carolina blue jerseys. A third alternate look will include a navy jersey inspired by the practice shorts Jordan used to wear under his NBA uniform

Tar Heel fans will get their first live looks at the sleek new uniforms in UNC's 2017 opener against Cal on Sept. 2.
