Georgia Tech football celebrates 4 walk-ons awarded scholarships

Brady Swilling (with ball) was one of four Georgia Tech football team walk-ons to receive a scholarship.

Georgia Tech's head coach Paul Johnson showed his team that it always pays off to put in work. Johnson awarded not one, but four walk-ons with scholarships yesterday evening.

The four athletes, redshirt senior fullback Brady Swilling, redshirt junior defensive backs Josh Selembo and Zach Matthews, along with redshirt junior quarterback Chase Martenson, got a standing ovation from teammates when Johnson announced their scholarships.

Some teammates tweeted the four congratulating them and Johnson joined in on the congratulatory wishes.

A great way to start the Yellow Jackets' season.
