Oregon’s newest set of alternate uniforms look as sleek as ever, but the Ducks’ Week 2 threads against Nebraska will carry extra significance.

On Thursday, Oregon unveiled their ‘Stomp Out Cancer’ uniforms. The university is partnering with Portland’s OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital – details of the partnership are mostly unknown at this point. What we do know is that the uniforms were revealed in front of doctors, nurses and staff patients – and yes, that’s The Duck stomping his foot down on cancer.

Some still images:

Notice the highlighted yellow in the shoe area, obviously symbolic of the cause. A sneaker version of the shoe will go on sale in early September, with all proceeds going to the pediatric cancer fund at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Really awesome stuff from Oregon.

Joe Boozell has been a college basketball writer for NCAA.com since 2015. His work has also appeared in Bleacher Report, FOXSports.com and NBA.com. Joe’s claim to fame since joining NCAA.com: he’s predicted the correct national championship game twice… and picked the wrong winner both times. Growing up, Joe squared off against both Anthony Davis and Frank Kaminsky in the Chicagoland basketball scene. You can imagine how that went.
