The 2017 college football season was only a few hours old when Colorado State linebacker Tre Thomas gave the Rams a two-touchdown lead in the third quarter with a pick six – the first in FBS play this season.

Oregon State quarterback Jake Luton's intended pass on a crossing route over the middle was tipped by wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins and scooped up by Thomas, who ran 44 yards for the touchdown.
