Mayfield, Love, Fitzpatrick headline CFB Award winners

The regular season for college football has officially ended and the best players in the country at their respective positions have separated themselves from their peers, not just with their on-field play but now with name recognition.Ā

Here are the finalists, listed alphabetically by the name of each award.

Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award: Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma, Senior

Jim Thorpe Award: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama, Junior

Lou Groza Award: Matt Gay, Utah, JuniorĀ 

Disney Spirit Award: University of Iowa Football Program

Biletnikoff Award: James Washington, Oklahoma State, Senior

Doak Walker Award: Bryce Love, Stanford, Junior

Ray Guy Award: Michael Dickson, Texas, JuniorĀ 

Outland Trophy: Ed Oliver, Houston, SophomoreĀ 

Chuck Bednarik Award: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama, Junior
