No. 7 Michigan State travels to Ann Arbor to take on rival No. 12 Michigan for a chance at the coveted Paul Bunyan Trophy, which has been handed to the winner of the series since 1953.
It's Jim Harbaugh's first taste of the rivalry as a head coach and Mark Dantonio has only lost twice to the Wolverines during his time in East Lansing. Let's take a look at what to expect in this Big Ten showdown and other storylines to pay attention to in Week 7.
Other Stories to Watch:
Should we look out for the Hawkeyes? Iowa has been a surprising team in the Big Ten with its undefeated record, which makes the Hawkeyes already bowl-eligible. Much attention will be on Michigan-Michigan State, but the Hawkeyes' matchup with Northwestern can have serious division implications too. Iowa didn't have a pretty win against Illinois last week but running back Jordan Canzeri exploded with 256 yards on 43 carries for the offense. Both teams have something to prove.
How will Alabama fare in College Station? With the exception of last year's 59-0 thrashing by Alabama, the recent games between Alabama and Texas A&M have been must-watch games in college football. This year's game is no different with both teams trying to make a case for the college football playoff. Alabama did look shaky against Arkansas last week but still managed to win, 27-14. Myles Garrett and the Aggies have had an extra week to prepare for Derrick Henry. It should be another fun time in College Station.
