MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – No. 4 West Florida closed out regular season play with another solid result at the Buccaneer Invitational on Tuesday, finishing in second place and six strokes behind tournament host No. 9 Barry. The Argonauts finished in the top three for the fifth consecutive tournament this spring, capping off an excellent regular season that featured three tournament wins.

Junior Ryan Black led UWF with the best overall finish of his three-year career, finishing in second place and just one stroke behind medalist Jack Bartlett from Nova Southeastern. Black (67-72-73 - 212) finished 1-under-par, highlighted by a 67 in Monday’s first round.

Senior Otto Bonning also finished in the top five, scoring two strokes behind Black at 1-over-par (71-69-74 - 214). Bonning finished tied for fourth place. Junior Carlos Rodriguez was close behind, finishing tied for eighth place (73-70-72 - 215).

The UWF lineup was rounded out by solid performances by junior Thomas Guste-Pedersen and sophomore Blake Olson. Guste-Pedersen finished 6-over-par and alone in 25th place (72-72-75 - 219), while Olson placed tied for 42nd at 12-over-par (73-72-80 - 225).
