No. 5 Central Missouri takes MIAA championship by 16 strokes

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- No. 5-ranked Central Missouri shot a final round 296 to win the MIAA championship tournament by 16 strokes over the next closest team. The tournament title is the fourth in the last five years for UCM and gives the Mules fifth regular season crown in the past six years.

Cy Moritz continued his solid tournament with a one-over par 73 to finish at four-under par, 212, to claim the individual championship. Travis Mays finished in a tie for second place at one-over par, 217. Robby Hughey finished in fourth place at two-over par after a final round 77.

Alex Springer finished in a tie for ninth place with a three-round total of six-over par, 222. Sam Migdal finished at +11 and in a tie for 23rd place.

The Mules finished at three-over par as a team for the tournament with second place Northeastern State finishing at 19-over par.
