Siena swings way to MAAC title
Crown is program's 11th consecutive for the Saints
Siena won the program's 11th consecutive MAAC title Sunday. The team also brought an individual title back to Loudonville, as Katelynn Mannix topped the leaderboards.
The Siena women led the tournament from start to finish, and ended up with a 17-shot margin of victory against Fairfield. Mannix's final-round 73 was the low round of the day, and she topped the individual standings by 11 shots. It's her third individual championship in four years, and she now heads to Yale University in pursuit of a Ph.D.
Freshman Kylie Strijek finished an impressive weekend with an 81, putting her alone in fourth place. Cortney Tilley's final-round 82 put her in fifth, while senior Catherine Shomo ended her Siena career with a ninth-place finish.
