ROHNERT PARK, Calif -- Sonoma State golfers turned in the three lowest scores of the day and, led by medalist Chelsa Robinson, took five of the top six individual spots overall to lead the 14th-ranked Seawolves to a 39-stroke win at the SSU Spring Invitational at Foxtail Golf Course in Rohnert Park.


Robinson followed up Monday's tournament best 72 with a 78 to win the individual competition by five strokes over teammate Spencer Heller.

Heller carded the best score of Tuesday with a 74, to finish at 81-74--155. Following Heller were Brittani Markowski (80-77--157) and Sasha Cruz (78-81--159). After Cal State East Bay's Deanna Tyndall (78-81--159), Sonoma got a sixth-place finish from McKayla Kennedy.

In addition to the front running Seawolf squad, Sonoma State fielded a second team, which finished third overall. Samantha Balanon led the second squad with a ninth-place finish (82-85--167). She was followed by Zoei Zbaraschuck (86-84--170), Alison Ross (88-87--175), Nicole Arends (88-94--182), and Emily Burns (98-97--195).

Sonoma State was at 310-310--620 on the team leaderboard, 39 ahead of runner-up Cal State East Bay (328-331--659). SSU's second squad was third (344-350--694) and Dominican finished fourth (401-394--795).
