WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. -- No. 1 Nova Southeastern is tied for third place after two rounds of the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational.

The Sharks led the field, which includes the nation's top-five teams, after round one. NSU shot a 308, two strokes ahead of any other team. The Sharks slightly slipped in round two, shooting a 310, and have a score of 618 heading into the final day of competition.

The Sharks are tied with No. 8 St. Edwards and trail No. 4 Lynn and No. 2 Florida Southern. The Mocs currently lead the field, five strokes ahead of the Sharks.

No. 2 Abbey Gittings is three strokes off the leader, Grand Valley State's Sara Hoffman, and sits in second place. She shot a five-over-par 149 (76-73). Gittings' score of 73 in the second round marked the top round for a Shark on Monday. No. 1 Daniela Ortiz followed in fifth place, shooting a six-over-par 150 (75-75).

In seventh place is No. 5 Liliana Cammisa, who finished the day shooting a seven-over-par 151 (75-76). Rounding out NSU is Claudia Wolf, who shot a 24-over-par 168 (82-86).
