DEMOREST, Ga. -- No. 1 Methodist, which had a pair of squads competing at the Piedmont Spring Invitational, took first and second in the team competition, while also featuring the first and second-place individuals.

The Monarchs' second team , which held a one-stroke lead on the MU first team, shot a final-round 309 (323-309--632) to record a three-stroke lead ahead of the first team, which shot second-round 311 (324-311--635).

Individually, the second team's Taylor Dominguez finished first overall, firing a second-round 72 for a two-day total of 149 (77-72). Loretta Giovannettone of the first team took second overall (79-75--154) and Gina Battistone of the second team was tied for fourth (80-78--158).

Other scores for the Monarchs' second team included Nucharin Katnapasara's second-round 78 (85-78--163), Briana Sweeney's 81 (88-81--169) and Andie Savel, who shot a final-round 82 (81-82--163).

Methodist's first team received a second-round 78 from Kelsie Carralero (83-78--161) and a 79 from Lizzy Blomgren (82-79--161). Andrea Daly finished up with a 79 (84-79--163) and Jenny Sullivan added a score of 81 (80-81--161).
