No. 8 Grand Canyon won the inaugural Pacific West Conference Championship at the Mira Vista Golf & Country Club in El Cerrito, Calif on Tuesday.

The championship was co-hosted by Academy of Art and Dominican.

GCU shot a 71-over 647 through 36 holes to defeat second-place Academy of Art by three strokes. The Antelopes and the Urban Knights were tied after yesterday’s first round.

Dixie State finished third (659), followed by Hawaii-Hilo (671) and Point Loma (673) to round out the top-five teams.

Charlotte Jaengkit was the top finisher for the ‘Lopes, taking second place with a 13-over 157. Dixie State’s Haley Dunn won medalist honors with a seven-over 151.

Eryn Olson tied for sixth place with a 19-over 163, while Kelcey Tate was also a top-10 finisher with a 20-over 164 to claim 10th.

Emily Kaye and Ali Thompson tied for 11th after each shot a 22-over 166.
