Arkansas Tech and Central Okla. lead after Day 1

LAKE ELMO, Minn. -- Arkansas Tech and Central Oklahoma, the No. 1 and 2 seeds in the Central Region, are tied for first after the first round at 12-over-par 300. Augustana sits five strokes behind third-place Henderson State (303) and four strokes behind Northeastern State (304) who is in fourth place.

The Central Region Championships consists of 54 holes with the top three teams advancing to the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships May 14-17 at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, N.C.

Rebecka Surtevall of Arkansas Tech leads all players after day one shooting a one-under-par 71. Central Oklahoma's Taylor Neidy is in second shooting an even-par 72 and is followed by Ally Harris (Henderson State) and Taylor Kline (Arkansas Tech) at one-over-par 73 in third. Leland and Ostrander are tied with three other players for fifth place.

Second round action will get underway with tee times starting at 10 a.m. ET Monday.
