SCHOOL WEEKEND GAMES LAST TIME OUT SLAP SHOTS

No. 1 Minnesota

  • Fri. and Sun. vs. No. 5 Boston College
Beat Bemidji State 5-1 on Saturday. After scoring a pair of goals on Sunday, Sam Warning moved into a tie for first in the nation for most points.

No. 2 Notre Dame

  • Fri. and Sat. at Minnesota-Duluth
Beat Michigan Tech 7-3 on Sunday. The Fighting Irish are off to their best start for a Jeff Jackson-coached team in his nine seasons at Notre Dame.

No. 3 Miami (Ohio)

  • Fri. and Sat. at No. 8 Providence
Beat No. 6 North Dakota 6-2 on Saturday. Riley Barber leads the team with five goals and eight points through the first four games.

No. 4 Michigan

  • Fri. vs. No. 13 Boston University
  • Sat. vs. No. 18 Massachusetts-Lowell
Beat then-No. 13 New Hampshire 3-2 (OT) on Saturday. The Wolverines are 6-for-16 (.375 percentage) on the man-advantage through four games this season.

No. 5 Boston College

  • Fri. and Sun. at No. 1 Minnesota
Beat then-No. 2 Wisconsin 9-2 on Friday.  Johnny Gaudreau's one-goal, two-assist night on Fri. helped him crack the 100-point plateau in his career.

No. 6 North Dakota

  • IDLE
Lost to then-No. 1 Miami (Ohio) 6-2 on Saturday. North Dakota has killed 23 consecutive opponent power plays.

No. 7 Yale

  • Fri. vs. Brown
  • Sat. vs. Princeton
Has yet to play a game this season. Both games this weekend will be played at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

No. 8 Providence

  • Fri. and Sat. vs. No. 3 Miami (Ohio)
Beat American International 10-4 on Saturday. The 10 goals scored on Saturday were the most for the Friars in a game since 2002.

No. 9 Quinnipiac

  • Fri. at Holy Cross
  • Sat. vs. Holy Cross
Beat Bentley 4-3 on Wednesday. Goalie Michael Garteig has a 1.51 goals-against average and .933 save percentage through four starts.

No. 10 St. Cloud St.

 

  • Fri. and Sat. at Colgate
