Williams moves to No. 8 in USCHO

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Williams, one of just three teams nationally without a loss along Plattsburgh State (9-0-2) and Adrian (10-0-1), has moved up to fifth in the D3hockey.com poll. In the USCHO.com poll, Williams moved up one spot to eighth.

Last week the Ephs were ranked sixth in the poll.

Friday, the Ephs needed a late third-period goal by Craig Kitto to tie Hamilton 1-1 on the road and remain undefeated.

Saturday, the Ephs traveled to archrival Amherst and pinned the first NESCAC loss on the Lord Jeffs 1-0. The lone goal of the game came in the third period. The Ephs' Greg Johnson's shot was tipped by senior Matt Doyle into the goal.

In the D3hockey.com poll the Ephs are the highest-ranked New England team, however in the USCHO.com poll the Ephs are ranked behind both No. 5 Norwich and No. 9 Babson, having moved up from ninth to eighth.

Plattsburgh State was ranked No. 1 in both polls, while Adrian was ranked second in the USCHO.com poll and Adrian is second in the D3hockey.com poll.
