Colgate holds off St. Cloud St.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Sixth-ranked Colgate scored twice in the first period as the Raiders defeated No. 7 St. Cloud St. 3-1 in men's ice hockey action Friday at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Joe Wilson and Evan Peterson scored two minutes apart in the first period to give the Raiders an early 2-0 advantage. St. Cloud St.'s Joey Benik cut the Colgate margin with a power play goal less than four minutes into the second period. Kyle Baun added the final point in the seventh minute of the third period. 

Colgate goaltender Charlie Finn recorded 33 saves.

No. 1 Quinnipiac men's hockey suffered their second loss in a row, falling to unranked Colgate on the road on Saturday.

Colgate rolls by Yale women's hockey in upset

Thanks to four straight goals in the second period, No. 6 Colgate handed rival No. 3 Yale its first loss of the season in a 5-3 upset on the road.
