No. 2 Boston University handles Rensselaer

TROY, N.Y. -- Thanks to three goals from freshmen and junior Danny O'Regan's team-leading 12th tally of the year, No. 2 Boston University posted a 5-1 victory against Rensselaer on Saturday evening at Houston Field House.

Senior Evan Rodrigues had three assists for the Terriers, who improved to 11-3-2 on the year.

Freshman defensemen John MacLeod and Brandon Hickey each found the back of the net and fellow rookie J.J. Piccinich registered his first goal as a Terrier. Freshman Jack Eichel and senior Cason Hohmann each earned a pair of assists while sophomore Nick Roberto potted a late empty-netter.

Junior Matt O'Connor stopped the first 35 shots he faced, including an incredible save with his right skate while sprawled in the crease during the opening period, before allowing a late tally on RPI's last shot of the game.

The Terriers became the sixth team in program history to enter the semester break with more than 10 wins.
