Coached by the legendary Ned Harkness, the 1970 Big Red squad is still the only team to win an NCAA title unbeaten and untied. Â
Cornell was led by defenseman Dan Lodboa, who was named the tournamentâs Most Outstanding Player, and Brian McCutcheon, who led the team with 26 goals during the season.  Defenseman Steve Giuliani and forward John Hughes joined Lodboa on the NCAA all-tournament team.  The ECAC champions were dominant throughout the entire year; Big Red needed overtime only once and won by more than one goal 23 times. |
The 1993-94 Lakers defeated Boston U. 9-1 in the championship game, but winning the title was anything but easy. Â
Head coach Jeff Jacksonâs squad finished 31-10-4 in the CCHA, and the Lakers finished 14-1-2 in its last 17 games.  Sean Tallaire led the squad in scoring with 55 points on 23 goals and 32 assists. He also was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, scoring two goals and an assist in the championship game.  He was joined on the all-tournament team by goalie Blaine Lacher, defensemen Keith Aldridge and Steven Barnes and forward Clayton Beddoes. |
