GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Gettysburg College men's lacrosse has enjoyed a long and storied history. Now, Bullets of the past are coming together to celebrate the program's 50th anniversary on Saturday with a full slate of events.

At 9:30 a.m., an alumni game featuring around 50 former players will be held at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium. The current crop of Bullets will take the field at 1 p.m. for their Centennial Conference showdown with No. 15 Washington (Md.) College, and at halftime of the game, a ceremony will take place to honor all former players in attendance.

Following the game, a tailgate reception will be held in the Attic at 3:30 p.m., and an evening banquet will conclude the day's events in the Ballroom at 5 p.m.

Near 100 men's lacrosse alumni are expected to return for the celebration.

Gettysburg's men's lacrosse program sports an all-time record of 403-214-1, has won 17 conference titles, and has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament on 18 occasions. The Bullets have captured 12 of 15 Centennial Conference titles since the conference was formed in 1994.

The Bullets, ranked ninth in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll, are 6-3 and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference following their 11-10 upset at No. 1 Salisbury University on Saturday. Their win snapped Salisbury's 55-game winning streak, its 80-game home winning streak, and its 87-game regular season winning streak.
