ERIE, Pa. -- No. 10 Lake Erie beat No. 8 Seton Hill 12-10 in an Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament semifinal Friday. Keegan Bal led the Storm with three goals and two assists.

The teams played end-to-end throughout the day, pulling off several impressive goals. The match was tied at four after a quarter, and then Lake Erie scored twice in the second quarter to take a 6-5 halftime edge.

The Griffins rallied in the third period, scoring the first two goals of the half to take a 7-6 lead. The Storm answered with three consecutive goals to regain the lead. After an SHU goal, Bal scored late in the third for a 10-8 margin.

James Delaney and Zach Hartman scored in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 10 with 8:24 remaining. Reagan Harding's one-handed goal 24 seconds later gave LEC a one-goal edge. The Storm was able to hold off a late Griffin charge and Josh Becker scored on an empty net with 25 seconds to go, sealing the Storm's trip to the conference finals.

Bal totaled five points, while Harding had three goals and an assist. Macgregor Johnston, Trevor Tarte and Becker each scored twice. Matt Delmonico paced Seton Hill with three goals and three assists.

Lake Erie improved to 12-3 this year, while SHU dropped to 12-3. LEC will now face Mercyhurst on Sunday in the ECAC championship.
