Sewanee perfect in SAA with 18-8 win against Hendrix

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Sewanee closed out its perfect Southern Athletic Association regular season with an 18-8 win against Hendrix on Sunday at Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

The Tigers have now won six consecutive games and are 10-3 overall and 7-0 in conference play.

Sewanee jumped out front quickly with six goals in the first period. The Tigers would then go on and add five more goals in the second, two in the third and five in the fourth.

Overall, Sewanee finished with a 54-26 advantage in shots and also had more clears and ground balls.

Individually, Willy Feid finished with a career-high four goals. Hayden Byrd, Davis Brown, Baylor Koch, Reed Daniel, Michael Morris and Tyler Calnan all scored two goals.

Additionally, Cotter Brown and Joe Randazzo scored once.

In goal, senior Tommy Healy finished with eight saves in the win. Selby Austin also made five stops.
