The NCAA, in conjunction with Corrigan Sports, will host the Thompson Brothers Lacrosse Experience May 25 at the Novacare Complex, the Philadelphia Eagles practice facility two blocks from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The instructional youth event will be led by the Thompson Brothers, including Miles Thompson who starred for four years at the University at Albany, on his way to becoming one of the top players in collegiate lacrosse history. He was the Co-Tewaaraton Trophy recipient in 2014 as the top NCAA lacrosse player in the nation with his brother Lyle. He will be joined at the clinic with his brothers Jeremy and Jerome, Jr., who played collegiately at Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College, respectively.
The youth event will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET and go until Noon. The event fee is $80 and includes a poster, t-shirt and tickets to the NCAA Division I Menâs Lacrosse Championship Game, which begins at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. The event fee also includes free parking for the game and the ability to be recognized on the field during pre-game activities. Participants must be between the ages of 8 and 14 and be entering third through eighth grade.
âThis is an exciting opportunity for young lacrosse players to learn from some of the best players to ever play the game,â said Jeff Jarnecke, NCAA director of championships and alliances. âIn addition they will be able to watch two of the best teams in the nation battle it out for the NCAA national lacrosse title. It should be a great day for everyone involved as we continue to explore future opportunities to provide youth with unique access to NCAA championships and former student-athletes who excelled in their sport.â
