Rindge, N.H. - Freshman Erica Devito collected four of her game-high five goals to go along with two assists to lead the #1-ranked Adelphi University women's lacrosse team to a 24-4 non-conference win over Franklin Pierce College this afternoon. The Panthers improve to 10-0 overall, while the Ravens fall to 3-5.

Adelphi rolled to an 18-2 first half lead and never looked back. Freshman Alison Staudt tallied the first of her four goals in the opening minute. Senior Rachel Ray struck next on a feed from freshman Marissa Mills, 2-0, at 27:44. Sopohomore Kailtyn Carter combined with Ray to notch back-to-back goals in the 15th minute, 11-0. The Ravens ended the rally when Lauren Stille found the back of the next in 20th minute, 13-1. After two more Panther goals, FPU's Brianna Nash added the second goal at 23:00. Sophomore Michelle Ceraso scored the next two goals, while Devito closed out the half, 18-2.

Ceraso's fourth goal of the day came in the opening minutes of the second half on an assist by Ray, her fifth. The Panthers took just 12 shots in final 30 minutes, compared with 33 in the first stanza, yet still managed to outscore the Ravens, 6-2. Junior Corinne Pingitore scored at 46:45 before Franklin Pierce picked up its last goal of the day, 21-4. Junior Vanessa Sotcheff assisted on the next two Panther goals by senior Emily Simpson and freshman Tara Ganagarossa, respectively. Junior Brittany Fronczak accounted for the final tally on an unassisted shot with 3:22 left in regulation.

Junior Caitlin Fitzpatrick and senior Christina Kozakiewicz shared time in goal, each accounting for one save. Jillian Bolduc made 14 stops for Franlin Pierce.

The Panthers return to action next Saturday, April 11, when the host Stonehill College at 2:00 p.m.
