GREENSBORO, N.C. - Karri Ellen Johnson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 12. Johnson, who earned her first weekly nod on March 30, led the second-ranked Terps to their third-straight ACC regular-season championship with a 13-8 win over fourth-ranked and visiting North Carolina at a rain-soaked Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

The attacker from Annapolis, Md., netted her 50th goal of her freshman campaign in a winning effort against No. 4 North Carolina. Johnson scored four goals in the win, while adding two ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control. After helping to knot the score at 5-5 entering the locker rooms at half, Johnson provided Maryland with its first lead since the opening goal with a score at 28:46 in the second period.

The second-ranked Terps will face intrastate rival Johns Hopkins at home on Tuesday in hopes of moving to 15-0 on the year. First draw on Tuesday is slated for 4 p.m. ET at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.
