HANOVER, N.H. -- Senior attack Kat Collins scored her 100th career goal during a six-goal day to lead 18th-ranked Dartmouth past Oregon 12-10.

Collins matched her career high with six goals and set a new career best for scoring in a game with eight points thanks to a pair of assists to go along with her six-pack of goals. Collins became the 15th player in program history to reach the 100-goal plateau.

Dartmouth moved to 4-2 with the win while Oregon dropped to 4-4. The Big Green held a four goal lead late in the game but the Ducks won two draws and went right to the cage for key goals in the final two minutes, but could not get any closer.

Freshman goalie Kristen Giovanniello matched Collins' offensive fireworks with an impressive 13-save outing in cage. It was her second consecutive 13-save game and the third time this season she's reached double-figures.

In all, six Dartmouth players recorded a point including a goal and two assists off the bench for junior Sarah Parks. Senior defender Shannie MacKenzie had another big day with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Oregon outshot Dartmouth 29-25 and each team won 12 draw controls on the day.

Collins came out on fire, scoring four goals in the first six minutes of the game to give the Big Green a 4-0 lead at 24:10. The second tally, a free position goal, was the 100th of her career. New Hampshire native Jana Drummond got Oregon on the board at the 20:54 mark, making it a 4-1 game.

The Big Green flexed its muscles again, scoring three goals in a 40-second span to build a 7-1 lead at 11:41 in the first. Parks and Collins nailed free-position tallies before Parks assisted Greta Meyer on her first of the day.

As it continued to be a game of runs, the Ducks came flying back, scoring three quick goals with two from Alex Breiner and Jana Drummond's second of the day, cutting the lead to 7-4 with 7:41 to go in the half.

Collins assisted Meyer with a strike with 22 seconds to play and then won the draw and raced down field before passing to junior Sarah Plumb, who made it a 9-4 game with just nine seconds to go before halftime.

After the Big Green made a series of defensive stops, the Ducks finally got the first goal of the period when Jana Drummond ripped one past Giovanniello at 25:47. Goldberg responded just more than two minutes later with an athletic sequence, weaving through nearly all of Oregon's defenders to beat goalie Salliebeth Finnegan, giving Dartmouth a 10-5 lead.

Goldberg struck again on the next possession, but the goal was called back for a dangerous follow through. The ensuing yellow card allowed Oregon to slow down Dartmouth's attack and both teams ultimately stalled. There would not be a goal again on either side until Jess Drummond scored at 11:35 to start a 3-0 Oregon run. Drummond scored again two minutes later before Nikki Puszcz made it a 10-8 game with 9:27 to play.

Once again Dartmouth inflated the lead back to four with a goal from Collins at 6:16 and another rocket from Goldberg off a great feed from Parks to go ahead 12-8 with 3:32 on the clock. The Ducks would not go quietly and got two late goals in the final two minutes, but Dartmouth locked down eventually to seal the win.

After a Giovanniello save with less than 30 seconds to play, senior Hope McIntyre made a diving play to get closest to the lose ball on the endline, securing possession for the Big Green to ice the win.
