SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Junior attacker Kathleen Conese scored four goals and dished out an assist to lead seventh-ranked Le Moyne to a 13-11 win against fourth-ranked Adelphi on Wednesday in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

Adelphi scored the game's first goal at the 26:28 mark as Rachel O'Brien notched her 35th goal of the season from six yards out.

The Dolphins answered with two goals in a span of 36 seconds to take their first lead. Senior attacker Brenna Bauer got Le Moyne on the scoreboard with 22:42 left in the half by dodging down the left alley. Senior attacker Kelly Condon put the Dolphins in front off a pass from sophomore attacker Sam Yaro.

Devan Crimi evened the score at two with 18:41 remaining.

Le Moyne regained the lead with 16:07 to play in the half as Conese converted a free-position shot, cutting in front of the cage from the far right hash. Just 80 seconds later, junior midfielder Victoria Nies recorded a free-position goal.

After almost six minutes of scoreless action, Conese converted another free-position shot in an extra-man situation to knock Adelphi goalkeeper Jordann Dempsey out of the game in favor of Taylor Hayes. Following back-to-back saves by sophomore goalkeeper Molly Marbut, senior midfielder Jennifer Fabian found the back of the net on a free-position shot with 6:02 left. Off a restart of a missed shot, freshman attacker Maggie Monnat finished off a feed from Bauer on the left edge of the crease to give the Dolphins a 7-2 lead with 5:16 remaining and force an Adelphi timeout.

Junior defender Megan Collins won the draw out of the timeout and the ball eventually ended up in the stick of Conese, who scored Le Moyne's final goal of the half from the left edge of the crease.

Adelphi got back into the game with three goals in a span of 65 seconds two minutes into the second half. Alexa Froccaro started the rally by converting a free-position shot just 1:03 into the second half. After the Panthers won the ensuing draw, Froccaro scored again 29 seconds later to force a Le Moyne timeout. Following a Le Moyne foul, Melyssa Mathewson scored on a free-position shot with 27:52 left to make the score 8-5. O'Brien then pulled the Panthers within two with a free-position goal with 24:14 remaining.

Nies ended the Adelphi run by netting a free-position goal of her own with 20:25 left.

Adelphi scored twice in 36 seconds to cut its deficit to one with 14:04 remaining. Froccaro scored Adelphi's seventh goal with 14:40 to play, while O'Brien scored on a free-position shot at the 14:04 mark.

Conese netted her third free-position goal of the game to push Le Moyne's lead to 10-8 with 13:11 left. Two minutes later, Conese sent a pass from behind the cage to freshman attacker Claire Monnat, who sent a shot into the goal while falling to the ground. Claire Monnat extended Le Moyne's lead to 12-8 with 8:47 remaining by netting a free-position goal. Fabian completed Le Moyne's scoring with a free-position goal in an extra-man situation, Le Moyne's eighth of the contest.

Adelphi scored three times in the final 5:18 to deliver the final score. Crimi scored off a free-position shot at the 5:18 mark, while Froccaro converted a free-position shot 52 seconds later. Mathewson ended the game's scoring with a man-down goal with 1:22 remaining after curling around the left edge of the goal from behind. The Dolphins won the ensuing draw and ran out the clock.

Marbut registered 10 saves, including six in the second half, to earn her 10th win of the season. Dempsey took the loss for the Panthers after giving up five goals (against two saves) in 21 minutes of action. Hayes made eight saves (against eight goals) in the final 38:51.
