Visiting No. 2 Adelphi hands No. 4 New Haven first loss of season 13-5

WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- In a matchup of two of the four remaining unbeaten teams in Division II, No. 4 New Haven was defeated by visiting No. 2 Adelphi 13-5 on Tuesday evening on Kayo Field.

Their first blemish of 2014 moves the Chargers to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the Northeast-10, snapping a program-best 10-game winning streak. The Panthers improve to 12-0 with a 7-0 conference mark.

Nicole McKee netted a hat trick for New Haven, improving her team-leading total to 33 goals this spring.
