KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- Senior Taylor Smith scored three goals and became Keuka's career leader in goals scored as it blanked Wells 19-0 Tuesday evening at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Smith, a three-time All-North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) midfielder, broke Brandy Shafer's previous school record when she bounced a goal in from in front of the goal with 19 minutes and 37 seconds remaining in the first half.
Smith also won 12 draw controls and collected three groundballs to help the Storm (11-2, 7-0 NEAC) remain perfect in conference play.
Smith was one of four student-athletes with three goals against the Express (3-7, 3-4 NEAC). Senior Caroline Arancio, junior Kaycee Maguire and freshman Sydney Forshay each scored three goals for the Storm, who led 9-0 11 minutes into the contest, and took a 13-0 lead into halftime.
Senior Maggie Bonafede added two goals with four assists while freshman Morgan Bruno added two goals with three assists to lead the Green and Gold.
Junior Jennifer Burt added two goals while sophomore Samantha Staino had a goal, and Arancio and Forshay also had assists in the win, the Storm's 18th consecutive NEAC triumph.
Keuka College won 18 of the 20 draw controls.
The defense was led by Maguire, juniors Olivia Hudson and Anna Patton and freshmen Taylor Willsey and Maura Gosson.
Senior Korie Fitzgerald started and played the first half while freshman Samantha Peacock played the second half. Neither allowed a goal as the Storm held the Express without a shot on goal.
