Maryland defeats Boston College, wins national title

Maryland wins the 2017 DI Women's Lacrosse Championship

For the third time in four years, the Maryland Terrapins are Division I women's lacrosse champions.

The Terps put an end to Boston College's dreams of a first championship, knocking off the Eagles 16-13 behind an 11-goal second half. Caroline Steele was Maryland's star, finding the back of the net six times and also contributing an assist.
