Pope, Bradbery to perform at Women's Final Four

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA has announced that country music newcomers Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery will perform a free concert as part of the 2014 NCAA Women’s Final Four activities in Nashville. The concert will take place at 4:30 p.m. CT April 8 in the Music City Center, on the main stage of Tourney Town presented by Capital One.

“It’s an honor for me to be a part of something that highlights females’ achievements,” Pope said. “I’m thrilled to join the celebration around the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Music City and I can’t wait to perform for the fans.”

Pope, a 24-year old native of West Palm Beach, Fla., was named the winner of the third season of NBC’s "The Voice", becoming the first female winner in the show’s history. In October 2013, she released her solo country album, "Frame by Frame", debuting at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums and at  No. 9 on the Billboard 200 charts.

The Republic Nashville project has produced the top 10 “Wasting All These Tears” and the latest offering, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” which she will perform on tour with Tim McGraw this summer.

“I’m so excited to be performing for the NCAA Women’s Final Four concert in the heart of Music City,” Bradbery said. “It’s going to be a great show and I hope everyone has as much fun as I’ll be having.”

Seventeen-year-old Bradbery established herself the next year, winning season four of "The Voice" and becoming the competition's youngest winner. Bradbery, a Cypress, Texas, native, had her Big Machine Records debut album, "Danielle Bradbery," released in November. Touring with Brad Paisley and Hunter Hayes this year, Bradbery has been performing her top 15-and-rising lead single, “The Heart Of Dixie,” while another track, “My Day,” was used in NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage.
