‘Let’s Dance’ campaign to support regular-season DI men’s basketball

The NCAA is giving its fans the opportunity to show their basketball school spirit and have a chance to win a trip to the 2015 NCAA Men’s Final Four® and a $20,000 donation to their favorite school’s scholarship fund with a video promotion called “Let’s Dance.”

Launching on Wednesday, fans can go to www.ncaa.com/letsdance between Jan. 13 and Feb. 10 to upload a video that demonstrates the excitement, loyalty and hope they have for their favorite Division I school to perform well during the men’s basketball regular season. Fans can be creative with their videos, which may include dances, tributes and/or other forms of loyalty to their team and school of choice.

“The Let’s Dance promotion is a fun way to keep our basketball fans engaged during the regular season and it provides us with the opportunity to keep the basketball excitement and momentum going as we lead up to this year’s Men’s Final Four in Indianapolis,” said Keith Martin, NCAA managing director of marketing and broadcast alliances. “Each year, we see fans and others dancing and enjoying basketball in their own special ways. This promotion allows them the opportunity to compete for scholarship money, a trip, school pride and to see who celebrates in the best way.”

The promotion ties in with March Madness -- which many refer to as “The Dance.”  Starting Feb. 11, fan voters and a panel of celebrity judges, including CBS Sports announcers’ Allie LaForce and former Michigan State basketball student-athlete Mateen Cleaves, will narrow the videos down to 32 -- one per conference. On Feb. 19, fans will be allowed to vote for their favorite video through March 1, when all votes will be compiled and a winner selected.

The overall winner will receive the grand prize trip for two to the 2015 NCAA Men’s Final Four and a $20,000 donation to the scholarship fund of the Division I school of its choice. Three other winners will be selected and will receive a 40-inch UHD 4k Smart LED TV from NCAA corporate partner LG and a $20,000 donation to the scholarship fund of its favorite Division I school. Thirty-two finalists will receive a $250 gift card and a $10,000 donation to the scholarship fund of the Division I school of its choice.

Fans will also see weekly reminders of the Let’s Dance promotion airing on TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV, the exclusive broadcast partners for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.
