The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Fours and national championship games will reach worldwide television markets this weekend. The Men’s Final Four begins in Indianapolis on Saturday, while the Women’s Final Four will take place in Tampa, beginning on Sunday.
In addition to its national broadcasts on CBS Sports and Turner Sports and with its March Madness Live digital activation, the men’s semifinals will be televised by ESPN International in over 170 countries and territories across 26 networks outside the United States.
ESPN International networks will provide coverage of the men’s games in Latin America (Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America), Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and via The Sports Network (TSN) and Réseau des sports (RDS) in Canada. Additionally, ESPN Syndication has completed deals to distribute the Men’s Basketball Championship to local television clients worldwide, reaching tens of millions of homes in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan and across Southeast Asia. ESPN broadband services around the world -- under the ESPN Player, ESPN Play and ESPN3brands -- are also providing live and on-demand coverage of some or all of the tournament in more than 50 countries in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Australia.
The Men’s Final Four semifinal games feature Michigan State vs. Duke at 6:09 p.m. ET, with Wisconsin vs. Kentucky slated to begin around 8:49 p.m., in Indianapolis. Dan Shulman will call the NCAA semifinal and championship games, pairing with Jay Bilas on the second semifinal and Dick Vitale for the first semifinal and championship.
The Division I Women’s Basketball semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN networks as well. South Carolina plays Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, while Maryland faces the Connecticut around 9 p.m.
ESPN International networks, plus the digital player, will offer the women’s national semifinals on ESPN2 Australia, ESPN Brazil HD, ESPN Caribbean, ESPN Latin North, ESPN Tres North, ESPN Tres South and ESPN UK. The title game will be live on ESPN2 Australia, Latin North, Caribbean, Brazil HD and ESPN UK, while delayed on Tres North and Tres South. Doris Burke, Dave O’Brien and Holly Rowe will be the broadcast team for ESPN’s Women’s Final Four coverage.
