Canine Companions

August 26 is National Dog Day and sport fans all over social media are posting adorable photos of their four-legged friends dressed in their favorite teams' attire.

Naturally, many universities and conferences with dog mascots are following the trend on Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, the bulldog is the popular breed for schools to adopt as a mascot:

Other breeds receive love as well, like golden retrievers, huskies, hounds and mixed breeds:

But not everyone is showing their love for the dogs today, specifically rival fans and mascots.

Maybe those teams could learn a lesson from Arizona, which seems to have made peace with Washington for today.
