Arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history vs. one of the top up-and-coming linebackers. World Series teammates going at each other. The reigning NBA MVP against one of the top culprits for opponents' broken ankles over the last two decades. This is Michigan vs. UCLA. Who will move onto the semifinals?

Tom Brady, New England Patriots | 1996-99

Brady saw action in 29 games over four years with the Wolverines and was the regular starter in 1998 and 1999. He finished with 4,773 passing yards and 30 touchdowns with a 61.9 completion percentage while donning the Maize and Blue. He was then famously taken in the sixth round (199th overall) in 2000 by the Patriots, the seventh quarterback off the board, and blossomed into a five-time Super Bowl champion, 12-time Pro Bowler and two-time MVP. At 40 years old, Brady is leading the league in passing yards

Rich Hill, Los Angeles Dodgers | 2000-02

The Dodgers lefty hurler became a full-time starter for the Wolverines in 2001 and was 6-12 with a 3.70 ERA over his final two seasons in Ann Arbor. In his 2002 junior season, Hill finished with eight complete games and two shutouts en route to becoming a fourth round pick by the Chicago Cubs. Hill is 50-36 in parts of 13 MLB seasons and has reinvented himself into a top-end starter over the past two seasons with the Dodgers, where he is 15-10 with a 3.02 ERA.

Jamal Crawford, Minnesota Timberwolves | 1999-00

Crawford averaged 16.6 points and nearly five assists per game in his one season at Michigan, where he played in 17 games. He led the Wolverines in points per game and was second in assists and third in blocks (0.9 per game). Crawford then became the eighth overall pick and has played for seven different NBA teams in 19 years. Known for his 3-point stroke and superb ball-handling — even at age 37 — Crawford is a three-time Sixth Man of the Year.

Myles Jack, Jacksonville Jaguars | 2013-15

Jack started 26 games at linebacker for the Bruins as a freshman and sophomore, compiling 163 tackles, three interceptions and a sack during that span, while also seeing time at running back (11 collegiate rushing touchdowns). In his 2015 junior season, he was sidelined with a knee injury after three games. He ended his Bruins career with two second team All-Pac-12 selections and was honored with Pac-12 Freshman of the Year awards on both sides of the ball in 2013. After a slow start to his NFL career in 2016, Jack has made huge strides in 2017, with 39 tackles, two sacks and one 81-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Chase Utley, Los Angeles Dodgers | 1998-00

Utley, a Long Beach native, led the Bruins to a Super Regional in 2000 and finished his three-year collegiate career with a .340 batting average and 53 home runs. In that 2000 season, he finished in the top 20 in the nation for both homers (22) and runs scored (81) while posting an OPS of 1.137. Utley was drafted 15th overall by the Phillies in 2000 and manned second base in Philadelphia from 2003-15, a run that included a 2008 World Series championship. The six-time All-Star now has a shot at a second ring as part of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are currently battling the Astros for the 2017 crown. 

Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder | 2006-08

Mr. Triple Double was a UCLA Bruin for two seasons, both of which saw the Bruins advance to the Final Four. Westbrook was an energy player off the bench as a freshman before stepping up as a sophomore with 12.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game in 2007-08. He was also named All-Pac-10 defensive player of the year that season. Westbrook's NBA resume is stacked with six All-Star appearances, two All-Star MVPs, a 2012 Olympic gold medal for Team USA and the 2017 MVP award. In last year's MVP season, the Thunder point guard made history with 42 triple-doubles.
