CHERRY HILL, N.J.—After the first day of competition at the 2009 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, the field is set for the semifinals in the three Division I events at the Cooper River Park site.  The semifinal races will take place on Saturday morning, with the finals set for Sunday.  Villanova University is hosting this weekend’s championships.  

In the Division I Eights, the semifinal field will include Stanford, Yale, Washington, California, Brown, Michigan State, Virginia, Princeton, Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and USC.  The top three finishers in each of two semifinals will advance to the Grand Final, while the rest of the field will advance to the Petite Final.  The semifinal races will go off on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

The Third Level Final for the Division I Eights will include Harvard, Dartmouth, Oregon State and Wisconsin.  That race will be on Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m.  

The semifinal field for the II Eights includes Virginia, Washington, Ohio State, California, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Michigan State, Michigan, Princeton, USC and Clemson.  The latter three schools all qualified for the semifinals by placing in the top three of the repechage on Friday afternoon.  The II Eights semifinals are on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.  

The third level final for the II Eights includes Oregon State, Dartmouth, Wisconsin and Harvard.  That race will take place on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  

The final Division I event is the Fours.  The semifinals will feature Virginia, California, Harvard, Ohio State, Clemson, Wisconsin, Yale, Michigan, Washington, Stanford, Brown and USC.  Virginia, Ohio State and Yale won their respective heats on Friday morning.  The semifinal races go off on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.  

In the Third Level Final for the Fours, the field will include Princeton, Oregon State, Dartmouth and Michigan State.  That race will be on Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.
