PHILADELPHIA -- No. 8 Philadelphia University participated in the Kerr Cup on the Schuylkill River on Saturday afternoon.
The varsity eight boat led the team by finishing fourth in its final. The Rams started the day by taking second in its heat race. In heat one, Philadelphia turned in a time of 6:41.45 to advance to the final. Washington College claimed the heat by completing the course in 6:26.75.
In the final, the Rams bettered their time from the heat with a 6:36.46 to claim fourth. Drexel won the event with a 6:18.17. Washington College (6:23.78) and Fordham (6:28.33) were second and third.
The varsity four boat was fifth during the heat round with a time of 7:48.57 and did not advance to the final. Fordham "A" was the heat winner by posting a 7:13.35.
