CHICAGO, Ill. -- Sophomore Jeremy Mann scored 2:05 into sudden death overtime to give the men's soccer team a 2-1 victory over the University of Chicago on Friday afternoon, Oct. 14.

Rochester improved to 11-0 overall, 3-0 in the University Athletic Association. The Yellowjackets take a one-game lead over Chicago in the UAA race. Chicago is 9-3 overall, 2-1 in the UAA. Rochester is ranked fifth in Division III this week. Chicago is ranked 19th.

Mann's goal, his fourth of the season, came after passes from Gary Stom and Patrick Ripp.

Chicago took a 1-0 lead just 7:59 into the match when Giordano Palloni scored (his third this year) on an assist by Peter Schlaefer.

The Yellowjackets built a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes only to see the Maroons tie it on two goals in just over three minutes midway through the second half. Nate Micklos, a Chicagoland native, scored twice last year against the Maroons. He had the gamewinner at 68:13.
