RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The St. Olaf men's soccer team had a crossed ball deflected into its own net in a 1-0, double-overtime loss to UW-Whitewater in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday.

The Oles had nine shots, including three on goal, in the loss but none in either of the overtime sessions.

St. Olaf (13-5-2), which was making its fifth appearance and first since 1999 in the NCAA tournament is now 1-5-0 all-time in the event.

UW-Whitewater will play host Dominican University tomorrow. Dominican needed double-overtime to win its first round game over Elmhurst earlier in the day.
