LIBERTY, Mo. -- William Jewell followed in the footsteps of the school's women's team earlier in the day as they upset sixth-ranked Quincy on Sunday at Greene Stadium by a score of 3-1. The women's team won 2-1 against No. 7 Quincy.

Quincy came into the game 5-0-2.

Matt McDevitt scored a goal in each half for Jewell to bring his season total to 10.

McDevitt scored his first goal at the 30:02 mark off a pass from Sam Braverman. That would end up being the only score of the half and Jewell went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, McDevitt scored an unassisted goal at the 64:08 mark and then five minutes later Zane Christenson put one home off a pass from Pete Nechvatal to put the Cardinals up 3-0.

Nate Heryford got Quincy on the board in the 80th minute to help the Hawks avoid the shutout.
