Kristo cracks Creighton

“"OMAHA, Neb. -- Senior Robert Kristo scored three minutes into overtime to propel the 15th-ranked St. Louis (6-1-1) past No. 3 Creighton 1-0 Saturday night at Morrison Stadium. It was the second win for the Billikens against a ranked opponent this season. St. Louis also defeated No. 5 Louisville two weeks ago.

“Obviously, very pleased after this one,” head coach Mike McGinty said. “Creighton is a great team, we knew it was going to be hard. We stuck together and fought hard all night long, and we were rewarded with the win.”

Kristo’s goal, his fourth of the year, came in the 94th minute of overtime as he buried a pass from Raymond Lee for the golden goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Sascha Otte recorded his fourth shutout of the season making a career-high, eight saves.
