Bethel (Minn.) keeper Jakob Bartels scores ridiculous goal from his own box

If there's one thing to remember about goalkeepers, it's to never underestimate their leg strength.

Bethel (Minn.) Royals goalkeeper Jake Bartels made sure to remind us of that Wednesday night with a ridiculous goal he scored from his own box.

With the Royals down 2-0 in the second half, Bartels blasted a punt that eventually bounced over the head of Oles' keeper Ben Braman.

Braman's reaction pretty much summed up how crazy the goal was, but his St. Olaf squad still produced a 3-1 win.

Bartels wasn't the first goalkeeper to score off a punt this fall. Texas women's soccer keeper Abby Smith did the same against Miami back in August.
