2017 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship field announced

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee announced today the field of 38 teams for the 2017 Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.

Two to six teams were selected from each of the eight regions.  Teams from the same region will be paired for first- and/or second-round competition, which will be conducted November 9-12 on campus sites.  Third-round/quarterfinals will be held on campus sites and completed by November 19. The semifinals and final will be played November 30 and December 2 at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri, hosted by Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, Rockhurst University and Kansas City Sports Commission. In the 2016 championship, Wingate University claimed the program’s first national title with a 2-0 victory over University of Charleston (West Virginia), becoming the first national champion in its conference.
