Roundup: No. 4 Falcons fall to Findlay

Findlay 2, No. 4 Notre Dame (Ohio) 1

FINDLAY, Oh. -- Findlay defeated fourth-ranked Notre Dame (Ohio) 2-1 on Tuesday at DeHaven Field.

Notre Dame jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Adam Mitchell scored at the 28-minute mark. His goal was assisted by Elliot Kelly.

The Oilers tied it up when senior Nick Naayers scored at the 62 minute mark, assisted by Ryan Poyle. They then took the lead when sophomore Jared Lyon scored at the 85 minute mark. His goal was assisted by senior Alex Oliver.

Goalkeeper Joe McClanahan picked up the win in the process and had five saves in the game as the Oilers improve to 2-3-1 on the year.

No. 10 Lindenwood 2, Ouachita Baptist 1

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Tenth-ranked Lindenwood fell behind early to Ouachita Baptist but scored two unanswered goals to continue its undefeated season. The Lions won the game 2-1 at Hunters Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tigers got on the scoreboard first just 13 minutes into the game. Sewell Yost scored an unassisted goal to give his team the 1-0 lead. From that point on, the contest was all Lindenwood.

The Lions tied the game up late in the first half after Craig McTear finished off a corner kick with a header. The game headed into the half with the scored tied at one. It took Lindenwood just three minutes in the second half to break the tie.

Victor Buchim scored after receiving a perfect pass from Aris Nukic. The goal was the last of the game and the Lions won 2-1.

Lindenwood outshot the Tigers 32-6 with 18 of the shots on goal. Fermin Hughes recorded his seventh win of the season after stopping all but one shot.
