Catawba 1, North Florida 0

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- The third-seeded Lady Indians of Catawba needed some extra time to get past the second-seeded Ospreys of North Florida as they won 1-0 in overtime.

The two teams battled for the full 90 minutes and the score was tied at 0-0 at the end of regulation. McKenzie Burman (Rolesville, N.C.) was the hero for the Lady Indians as she took a cross from Jennifer Lowe (Enfield, Conn.) and scored in the 103rd minute. The goal by Burman ties the school record for goals in a season and Lowe's assist breaks her own school record for assists which was set last season.

Both goaltenders played well as Catawba's Cathrine Balentine (Charlotte, N.C.) had nine saves and North Florida's Heather Gosslin (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) added six.
