GETTING LONGER: Second-ranked Seattle Pacific extended its regular season unbeaten streak to 51 games with a 1-0 victory against Western Washington. The Falcons also improved their undefeated string of Great Northwest Athletic Conference games to 39.

Senior Megan Lienhard netted the Falcons' lone goal just three minutes into the game to earn GNAC Player of the Week honors. It was Lienhard's 23rd goal of her career.

SPU has won its last four contests by just one goal after averaging a margin of victory of four goals in the previous four games. The Falcons are 7-0-0 at home this season and have outscored visitors 28-2.

TEARING IT UP: Junior forwarded Beth McGill scored three of Nebraska-Omaha's four goals on the week to lead the Mavericks to wins against Augustana and South Dakota in North Central Conference play.

McGill contributed two goals and an assist against Augustana and then scored the game-winner and assisted on another goal in the win over the Coyotes. The Omaha native was named NCC Offensive Player of the Week for her eight-point week. She leads the Mavs with nine goals this season.

The No. 6 Mavericks are riding an 11-game winning streak " the second-longest in program history " after a season-opening 3-2 loss to Central Oklahoma.

ON A ROLL: No. 13 New Haven remained perfect in New York Collegiate Athletic Conference action with a convincing 8-0 win at Mercy College on Oct. 17. The Chargers have won six consecutive games and seven of their last eight contests.

Crystal Lindsay netted two goals to increase her team-leading total to 17, while the Chargers' defense did not surrender a shot in the first half and finished the game with a 27-2 shot advantage.

CLEAN SWEEP: Teammates Holly Sutton and Christine Beatty swept the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference weekly awards after helping Winona State cruise to shutouts against a pair of league foes last week.

Sutton totaled eight points in the two games beginning with two goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory over Southwest Minnesota State on Oct. 15, and followed it with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win against Wayne State (Neb.) on Oct. 16. The sophomore forward was the league's Offensive Player of the Week.

Beatty, who earned the defensive weekly award, added three assists in the two wins while helping the defense hold opponents to a combined five shots on goal.

The Warriors completed their home schedule with a 9-0-0 mark without giving up a goal, a 26-0 margin of victory.

NOTABLE: Franklin Pierce College captured a share of the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title with a 3-1 win against American International College on Oct. 17. The Ravens have now won five straight regular season league championships. FPC can clinch the title out-right with a win or tie against Southern Connecticut State on Oct. 22 ¦ Barry put an end to West Florida's 30-game home winning streak after forcing the Argonauts to a 1-1 tie on Oct. 16. UWF did, however, extended its unbeaten streak to 19 games ¦ No. 22 Bryant University handed No. 8 Assumption its first loss of the season as the Bulldogs shutout the Greyhounds, 3-0, on Oct. 17. Bryant has won eight straight games while holding opponents to just two goals during a stretch that has included six shutouts.
