SEATTLE -- Natasha Belak-Berger scored the game's only goal early in the second half to send UC San Diego into the NCAA Division II Far West Regional championship game with a 1-0 over Cal State Dominguez Hills Thursday night at Interbay Stadium.

The Tritons, after being out-shot 4-1 in the first half, scored five minutes into the second period. Belak-Burger struck a 16-yard shot which deflected off a Toros defender and past a wrong-footed keeper Lisa Agramonte and into the left corner. It was Belak-Berger's eighth goal.

UCSD (18-3-0) advances to Saturday afternoon's regional championship game, where they will face the winner of the Seattle Pacific-Chico State first-round game. Cal State Dominguez Hills finishes at 14-7-2.

The Toros, who had fallen to UCSD in the CCAA title game four days earlier, had difficulty applying pressure toward a tying goal. They managed only one shot in the final period and one corner kick.

Mia Shirley made three saves to earn the shutout, her eighth of the season. UCSD finished with a 6-5 edge in shots.
