Allendale, Mich. - Becca Mays scored her third postseason goal to lead the No. 7 Metro State Roadrunners (20-1-3) to a 1-0 victory over No. 8 Wisconsin-Parkside, Sunday afternoon in the NCAA quarterfinals in Allendale, Mich.

The game was a defensive battle as the two teams combined for just 10 shots on goal. Metro State scored in the 33rd minute when Jaimie Stephenson played the ball through to Mays at top of box, whose shot to right post scored. The 'Runners defense held on to record its 16th shutout of the season.

The 'Runners will now advance to the NCAA Semifinals/Finals to be held Dec. 4 and 6th in Tampa, Fla. MSCD will take on No. 4 Seattle Pacific, on Dec. 4th at either 4 or 7 p.m. EST. Metro State won national championships in 2004 and 2006.
