CHICAGO - Junior forward Sarah Loh (Grand Rapids, Mich./ Forest Hills Christian) and freshman midfielder Marquel Reddish (Bountiful, Utah/ Judge Memorial) scored first half goals as the University of Chicago women's soccer team defeated Aurora University 2-0 in NCAA Division III Regional Semifinal play Friday at Stagg Field.

Loh gave Chicago (15-3-1) the only goal it would need at the 26:15 mark when she gathered the ball after a goalmouth scramble and headed it into the net for her 12th goal of the season.

With time winding down in the first half, sophomore forward Allison Hegel (Vienna, Va./ Jefferson) sent a cross to Reddish, who fired the ball into the left side of the net for her first collegiate tally with just :21 showing on the clock.

Chicago outshot Aurora (16-6) by an 8-1 margin in the first half and 12-6 for the game.

Sophomore Emma Gormley (Carmel, Ind./ Carmel) collected four saves for Chicago, while Aurora goalkeeper Liz Wong was credited with one save.

Chicago defeated Aurora in the first round of the NCAA tournament for the third time in as many postseason meetings, following a 4-0 decision in 2005 and a 1-0 overtime victory in 2007.

The Maroons advanced to Saturday's regional final against Wheaton (Ill.) College at 1 p.m. The Thunder defeated Carleton College 3-1 in Friday's second semifinal contest.
