CARSON, Calif. -- Junior Olivia Patterson finished a Claudia Toledo cross inside No. 5 Sonoma State's box with a sliding one-touch at 31:46, giving Cal State Dominguez Hills a 1-0 win against the Seawolves.

With the win, CSUDH improves to 4-9-2 (3-9-1 CCAA), while SSU falls to 12-2-1 (9-2-1 CCAA).

The Toros, who took five shots in the first period, earned the game's first score after Patterson collected Toledo's cross and finished past SSU keeper Alexis Sciacqua.

In the second half, the Seawolves continued their aggressive offense with an 8-1 shot advantage, but Hollis and the CSUDH defense were up to the challenge with three saves after intermission.

SSU finished with a 19-6 shot advantage and 5-1 edge in corners. Goalkeeper Sciacqua needed to make just one save in the 1-0 loss.
